What is club fitting?
Through conversations over the past two seasons, many of you are using clubs that have not been properly fit for you. Club fitting technology is becoming more advanced, just like everything else. Every club in your bag should be tailored to your game, giving you the best chance to lower your score. All of the fitting types make sure your entire bag is properly fit; each club has its own purpose and specific distance. Here are the types of fitting we offer:
- Driver Fitting – Driver fittings optimizes launch angle, spin rate and ball speed to maximize distance.
- Wood Fitting – Wood fitting makes sure one is not using fairway woods that have too little loft as well as seeing if there are proper distance gaps.
- Iron Fitting – Iron fitting measures lie angle, shaft length, shaft flex. We recommend the best head type to insure proper trajectory. We also determine where irons should stop and hybrids should begin and where the woods should begin as well.
- Wedge Fitting – Wedge fitting determines lofts and bounce angles; again making sure proper yardage gaps are produced throughout the set.
- Putter Fitting – A properly fit putter insures one is set up properly. Many golfers have putters that are too long which makes it very difficult to relax and get their eyes over the ball. We also look at stroke type to determine what type of putter will work best.
Equipment, club fitting and demos
Properly fit golf equipment can be critical to a golfer's performance and enjoyment of the game. "Off the rack" equipment without any consideration to one's individual size or swing tendencies is a thing of the past. Our staff has been professionally trained to fit the entire bag, from drivers to putters. Club fitting is complementary as long as a equipment purchase is made. The golf shop has a fitting system from Titleist and Callaway. However, one may get equipment from Ping, Taylor Made and Cobra as well. Buying golf equipment is a big investment therefore we also provide a large variety of demo products for members and guests to try. Demo products may be used on the course or at the practice facilities.
